Bayisa Tesfaye (PhD)

Bayisa Tesfaye (PhD) Assistant Professor of Leadership and Dean of Emerald International College, Addis Ababa. Bayisa obtained a PhD degree in Economics and Management of Innovation and Sustainability from Ferrara/Parma University in Italy, MA degree in Public Administration from Andhra University in India, and BA degree in Political Science and International Relations from Addis Ababa University. In addition, he received a Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Voluntary Organizations from Andhra University in India. Bayisa has about 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and community services in different higher institutions. He taught social science courses in Jimma Teachers College from November 2003 to August 2005 where he was also served as a Coordinator of Community Service Office. From September 2005 to October 2018, he was an academic member of Jimma University where he served as a lecturer in the Department of Governance and Development Studies. He has also engaged in a number of scholarly research work and published articles and co-authored a book. He Besides teaching and research, Bayisa has been engaged in different consultancy and training activities, both at local and international level, in areas of public policy, development economics, business development, local governance, organizational change, gender issues, industry and environment, among others. Currently, he is Assistant Professor of Leadership and Dean of Emerald International College.
